» AXE ::::: Nick Acs - Creator / Writer / Director
Nick founded, and provided the vision and leadership for Calgary’s first computer animated / Visual FX studio for eight years (AurenyA Entertainment). He co-directed the branding moment for Bruce Willis’ production company (Cheyenne), and directed many other commercial productions.
Nick directed a 3D computer animated Christmas special for CTV, YTV, SCN and Access. It has enjoyed an annual broadcast for over 5 years, and is now in development for a 75 minute sequel for the Access Network.
Nick is the founder, vision and CEO of FrameBuyFrame.com, 2nd Culture, and the Creator/Writer/Director of the Panda Girls film.
» CROM ::::: Curtis Larson - Screenwriter
Curtis was brought on in 2005 to begin script development of Panda Girls, and the TAPT comic strip. From 2001 to 2005, Curtis was a staff writer and editor of r4nt online magazine, providing the satire of the magazine. He also plays the character “Crom” in the TAPT series, and often appears around 2nd Culture to provide a skewed and much needed perspective.
Curtis is the main writer for 2nd Culture, and the screen writer for the Panda Girls film.
» Eric Tang - Visual Effects Supervisor
Eric was a Technical Director on the Visual FX for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Since Lord of the Rings, Eric has been the Lead Creature Technical Director for films such as iRobot, Eragon, X-Men: The Last Stand, and was responsible for the designing the animator-controls that drove the expressions on the face of King Kong himself.
Eric made his start with Nick Acs a decade ago when they founded AurenyA Entertainment.
Eric will be the Visual Effects Supervisor for the Panda Girls film, bringing the Panda Mech/Robots to the screen as vivid as any big-budget Hollywood feature.
» Kev Chu - Production Designer
Kev currently works with Bioware on their enormously popular video games. He’s worked with a British Video Game developer as a Lead Concept Artist on a highly-anticipated next gen video game, Wardevil.
Kev started his career with Nick Acs as a Concept Painter and Art Director for Calgary’s first 3D computer animated Christmas special produced for CTV, YTV, SCN and Access.
Kev will be the Production Designer for Panda Girls, designing the overall appearance of the film.
» Ron Miller - Lead Technical Director
Ron currently works with Eric at WETA as a Technical Director. Before then he worked at Bioware as a Lead Modeler, and the Vancouver based E.A. Games as their Lead Modeler and Technical Director on their very popular SSX video game.
Ron began his career with Nick Acs as the Lead Technical Director and Modeller for almost every production AurenyA Entertainment produced.
Ron will be the Lead Technical Director for Panda Girls, solving the higher-level technical challenges of 3D imagery and visual effects.
» Donovan Seidle - Music
Donovan is the Assistant Concertmaster of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and is the Music Director/Concertmaster of the Kensington Sinfonia. His CD, “The Thrill of the Western” has recently been released, featuring his arrangements of Western movie-scores for the Calgary Youth Orchestra; as well, he has been the editor/assistant-arranger/assistant-composer of the Calgary Stampede Grand Stand Show for a decade with composer, Dave Pierce.
He earned an undergrad degree at the University of Calgary (doubling in performance and composition) with Edmond Agopian and William Jordan, and completed a Masters degree in violin performance at Northwestern University, studying with Almita Vamos.
Donovan Seidle will compose the Music for Panda Girls, designing the general soundscape, underscoring and themes for the film.
